With our support, it is possible to write a thesis in German and obtain the recognized degree of PhDr. “Doctor of Philosophy” / PhDr. “doktor filozofie.”
The doctoral degree (PhDr.) from DTI University corresponds to the second level of the Bologna classification and not to the third level of the Bologna classification. The doctoral degree “Doctor of Philosophy” may be used as PhDr. in Germany (as of 2024) before the name, e.g., PhDr. Max Mustermann, but may not be abbreviated as Dr.
The doctoral degree (PhDr.) may not be entered on a German identity card, even as a so-called “minor doctoral degree.” Since 2025, it is no longer possible to enter “Dr.” before the name on identity cards in Germany. Entries of “Dr.” are now only made in a separate data field.
